Arlington Impact 14U finished 2nd in the USSSA Pumpkin Smash 14U Gold Bracket. Going 3-0 in pool play, coming from behind in two of the three games and giving up only 5 runs.  They came into single elimination Sunday as a favorite and after a very close, back and forth first game against a strong Eastern Shore Velocity team, Impact eked out a 6-5 victory, giving them momentum when they rolled over the Glory-Haynie team winning 7-2 in their second game. The final game, against another undefeated team, the Demascus Yellow Jackets, was closer than the 5-0 score indicated. Both teams recorded 6 hits, but Impact was not able to convert those into runs. Impact players fought hard all weekend with six players batting over .400 racking up 48 hits on the weekend. And defense was solid with everyone doing their jobs, especially pitchers who killed it with 22 Ks! This team is killing their first fall season together!
